Reviews Policy
How we collect and display customer feedback — honestly, with consent, and never faked.
Last updated: 1 July 2026
We sometimes display testimonials and reviews from the businesses we work with. This policy explains how we collect them, how we keep them honest, and how to raise a concern.
1. Our testimonials are genuine
Any testimonial or review we show is real feedback from a real customer, used with their permission. We do not invent reviews, pay for reviews, or post fake feedback. Where we shorten a quote for space, we do so without changing its meaning.
2. Following the rules on reviews
Posting fake or misleading reviews is unlawful, and we don't do it. We follow Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidance and consumer protection law, which means being clear about who is speaking and not presenting anything as an independent review when it isn't.
3. If you give us a testimonial
If you provide a testimonial or review, you confirm that:
- It's your genuine, honest opinion of our service.
- You're happy for us to display it — including, if you agree, your name and business name.
You can withdraw your consent at any time. Just email phil@localbusinesswebsites.uk and we'll remove your testimonial promptly.
4. Third-party review platforms
Where we link to reviews hosted on other platforms (for example Google), those reviews are published and moderated by that platform under its own terms, and we don't control them.
5. Raising a concern
If you believe a testimonial we display is inaccurate, misattributed, or otherwise unlawful, email phil@localbusinesswebsites.uk with the subject line "REVIEW CONCERN" and tell us which testimonial and why. We'll assess it fairly and, where appropriate, correct or remove it.
6. A note on what this policy is
This policy describes how we handle testimonials and reviews in good faith. It is not legal advice.
